Updating the mega pack to the newest cuda and drivers made the video crash. This version worked for my video card : boinc-client-nvidia-cuda 7.6.2+dfsg-0~1343~ubuntu14.04.1 Metapackage for Cuda-savvy Boinc client and manager. I dowloaded from software center. Then the libraries then the mbprobe and it worked. So now its crunching Astropulse on nividia gpu. Hope this helps.

I have been trying to install Nividia toolkit. I'm successful to a point when I sudo install cuda it says cant find cuda package.This is step 5 to get to this point. I have seen posts on running Fedora 20.0 and yum but was hoping for fix with ubuntu.

This is example of dumb luck. The other poster helping me said to make sure all the version numbers matched and I also uninstalled all the extra toolkit stuff that I had installed from the driver cd. So I owe him a big thanks. This is why seti@home is so wonderful when there is an issue people come together with their knowledge and try to help. Thanks again for your help.

I installed the Nividia 9800 and am running in SLI and it still was spazzing . So I went to the lunatic website and down loaded enhanced seti and it started working .

My better half hates Linux and some program she likes to run for her pictures is 32 bit so I did it this way. Now the issue is on Lunatic website I have down loaded 32 bit app when I click on it it says I cant run this app on my computer. So then I down load the 64 bit app and it installs. The einstein@home and rosetta@home seem to work fine but seti@home has errors right away I check log and yep I have issues. So Rob in another post has been coaching me to get back on track running seti@home with out mods . So If it works I need to figure out how to run the lunatic 32 bit app.

The Lunatics web site isnt letting me install 32 bit but allowed me to install the 64 bit ap . Not sure what it was detecting the CPU instructions or the OS version . I installed after downloading older Nvidia drivers . Einstein@home ran fine Rosetta@home ran fine. I checked the log files and all the seti@home files had errors. I was getting errors as soon as it was fetching new ones . I stopped tasks 1 hour later I received 7 seti@home wu . I will leave no new tasks till these run see if they error.
