I had a dream build in mind. And this what my current idea is. Or you can call it. "Throw the budget out the window."

OS • $119.99 Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64BIT Operating System Software - OEM DVD, English

This is the instant savings and rebates version.

OS • $89.99 Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64BIT Operating System Software - OEM DVD, English

I would change the bolded versions, 32bit can only access 4GB or RAM.

It looks like you are only having problems with the images.

Try going Here selecting edit preferences and take the check mark out of Image Verification.

During the fund raisers for the new servers, I'm pretty sure that Brad went missing for a short while & on his return, stated that he had a medical issue & was under the weather.

Surely, the GPU users group could find out if he is okay & still with us?

He is.

Reports on the news about a virus called SHELLSHOCK has been found affecting MAC OSX and LINUX it is recommended that people with these systems upgrade now . Also websites that use SSL."All Bash users should upgrade immediately, and audit the list of remote network services running on their systems."

Shellshock is essentially a mistake that has been found in a piece of Linux software called Bash that has been widely used for about 25 years.

'This is about as bad as it gets'

Macs are only at risk if they are being used as a server.

Had to upgrade to the latest version of Firefox though. It was crashing the driver.

You should have just turned off Hardware acceleration in FF instead.

I use one self build computer. In an COOLER MASTER Case [Older type]
An INTEL dp 67 BG Mobo, 1 I7-2600 CPU, 2 x 8GByte DDR III 1600MHz. DRAM.
Two AMD/ATI HD5870 GPU 's and a 1000Watt P.S.U.
{Using ~455Watt/h crunching (HT=ON --> 1,4 more comp.power).The DDR3 DRAM is faster and has lower latency.
I use a stock - cooler which can't handle the heat from the CPU, so it's on
85% , CPU just sits below 100C . . .GPU 's are 20 % used (EINSTEIN, 2 WU's per GPU).
Pretty 'Basic Set Up' in such case. But works as it should.

A quick after shot.

Try changing it to 50% and see if that allow you to do work.

19) Questions and Answers : GPU applications : nVidia detected in Linux Mint 17 but no GPU tasks (Message 1566000)
Posted 29 days ago by Profile arkaynProject donor
A newly-built system is dual-boot with Windows 8.1 64-bit and Linux Mint 17 (Ubuntu 14.04) 64-bit.

It is an i7 (4790K) with 32GB of RAM on an Asus ROG Maximus VI Formula mobo and an Asus ROG Striker Platinum nVidia GTX-760 (1152 cores, 4GB).

Windows BOINC 7.2.42 x64 with nVidia driver 340.52 detects and uses the GPU properly - and is getting new tasks.

However in Linux no GPU tasks are ever received.

Does anyone see where the error lies here? Suggestions?

In Linux Mint 17:
- BOINC 7.2.42 x64 installed as service via package manager
- nVidia driver 343.13 from xedgers for 14.04.1 with UVM
- nVidia Cuda Toolkit 6.0.37 from nVidia
- OpenCL 1.1 symbolically linked to the Cuda Toolkit version, not the driver version

When booting to Linux Mint it is necessary to open a terminal and restart the boinc-client service as root.

The problem you are running into is that SETI does not have a stock Multibeam app for Linux CUDA yet.

You should be able to get AP work when it is available though as there is a stock Linux AP OpenCL app for Nvidia.
