I can live with the project needing to do upgrades. That's fine by me!

I have my own Outage avoider: Years ago I set my "Additional work buffer" to 10 days (the maximum) so I always have WUs.

I have a machine which has spent almost a week trying to connect. Again :(

My task folder slowly emptied over the last three days as reports were uploaded/accepted but, still, no more downloaded. Over the last 12-15 hours, the uploading stopped, too. I have some waiting, with lots of "backing off" happening.

@VK1KEP
This is what generated the last logged attenpt (four lines) as listed, when restarted. I used just the HTTP lines when it restarted and generated the master file fetch

Did you restart BOINC? (if run as a service you may need to do net stop boinc, net start boinc)
Else open BOINC Manager->Advanced view->Advanced->read config file.

++++++++++++

Yes, I had re-started BOINC.

Here is the latest log, after a 'cold' restart.

Thanks. Here are the last several tries, including the "fetch master file" that happened after adding the HTTP 1.0.

No that was the log... try the other cc_config.xml that I posted in the other post, please.

+++++

In all its glory, the cc_config.xml file is:

<cc_config>
<log_flags>
<file_xfer_debug>1</file_xfer_debug>
<http_debug>1</http_debug>
<http_xfer_debug>1</http_xfer_debug>
</log_flags>
<options>
<http_1_0>1</http_1_0>
</options>
<cc_config>

This is what generated the last logged attenpt (four lines) as listed, when restarted. I used just the HTTP lines when it restarted and generated the master file fetch.

Thanks,
Peter

Um.... if these are NOT the log then where
do I look. There's no obvious new log file happening in the BOINC folder.

I've been having trouble with uploading for about a week. I'm up to 53 WUs in the pipeline to report.

I've checked the firewall is allowing ports 80 and 443.

Here is a selection of the messages:

6/07/2008 8:54:03 AM|SETI@home|Scheduler request failed: Couldn't connect to server
6/07/2008 8:56:38 AM|SETI@home|Sending scheduler request: Requested by user. Requesting 0 seconds of work, reporting 25 completed tasks

6/07/2008 8:56:42 AM||Access to reference site succeeded - project servers may be temporarily down.

snip

Suggestions are welcome.

9) Questions and Answers : Windows : Attach to Project page not working (Message 222639)

Post:
Install BOINC, let it start up.
- If your firewall asks if Boinc.exe and Boincmgr.exe are allowed to play outside, let them.
- If you want to connect to the Seti project, go to Your Account.
- Change your password, type it in twice and hit the Change Password button.
Start Boinc Manager if it isn't open yet.
At the top menu bar, you see Projects (not the tab, but the menu bar), press it.
Select Attach to project.
- Type in, or copy & paste: http://setiathome.berkeley.edu
- Press Next.
- Press the radio button before "Use existing account"
- Fill in your email address (top of the page) and the password you just set at the Seti page.
- Press Next.

That should attach you to Seti.

If it does not, go to the Messages tab in Boinc Manager and copy the messages from there, then post them here for one of us to look over.
