Very sad news that Seti@Home will close their data ports...
Been a member since Sept 1999, but it feels like I was a member longer than that. Still a LOOOONG time. I had a Pre-BOINC client going on my computers.
I remember when I did night shift computer support at a plant, We had a Windows 2000 Server, and over several years, I installed the "hidden" version of S@H on just about every computer in the company!
Just a quick question, What project is the closest to S@H? Einstein@Home?
I want to switch to something, but would like to keep looking for ET's.
Thx all!

I didnt know him, but it is never easy to lose someone in any online community. Especially someone that has been around since the start of this program.
He is headed to that second star to the right, and straight on till morning.

Ok I got it fixed,
I used Step 2 from the link you provided.
TYVM for the help!

Since the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility was discontinued by Windows, as it is quite powerful to use and with misuse you can wreck your Windows... they'd rather that you use their Program Install and Uninstall.

Ok I did the instructions, but none of them worked.
Now it says Error 2718. Missing name for product code '(68D2AC29-B594-466A-8D6F-238FA2135BB5}'.
I tried several older versions also.

I am trying to upgrade and it is saying:

The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable.
Click ok to try again. or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'BOINC.msi' in the box below.

I have already searched my entire computer for that file.
Any help?

True. I meant that the 24 is normally a set time, not from when I last made a change right?
Like I changed the avatar on my profile and that was updated right away, but again, that is not pushed to BOINC.

Still waiting.....
Whats even more wierd, is if I go to any of these links:

http://stats.kwsn.net/user.php?proj=all&cpid=5cf4b99488ca1694a6fb00c637fc952b

http://boinc.netsoft-online.com/e107_plugins/boinc/get_user.php?cpid=5cf4b99488ca1694a6fb00c637fc952b&html=1

http://www.allprojectstats.com/showuser.php?id=5cf4b99488ca1694a6fb00c637fc952b

It shows the correct user name.

It's funny also, when I was doing SETI@HOME (pre-BOINC) I thought I was kicking butt with all the workunits done. Now I am nothing compared to some people that have been doing it for years.
thx again for the help.

I just changed it to Braingasim from Steve because there are so many Steve's and doing a search for it kinda sucks. Maybe it will take a day to refresh.
I also fixed the sig link.
I dont know why my PC doesnt show up also. Strange..

Hi all, I am an old-timer when it comes to Seti@home. I started back in August 1999, then took a break when BOINC took over (I didnt like the conversion).
Anyway, I have restarted my crunching and would like some assistance in setting up a siggy. I have followed the easy directions about changing the link to include your User ID, but when I do that, it puts someone elses data there.
Any suggestions?
I was trying to use http://www.boincstats.com/signature/user_22246.gif but no matter what link I try with ID 22246, it uses the wrong persons data.
