I tried to open http://setiboinc.ssl.berkeley.edu/sah_cgi/cgi in a browser and recieved these results:

Then after few seconds IExplorer trys open this page http://setiboinc.ssl.berkeley.edu and has a message:

For Predictor scheduler http://predictor.scripps.edu/predictor_cgi/cgi I have another answer in the browser:

Then project's main page is opened.

Posted 3550 days ago by Profile Nikolay A. Saharov
I also have cell phone and use GPRS modem with it.
And I also have some problem.

I saw under debugger that BOINC CC receives 500 internal error from scheduler server.

But sometimes after many (10-30 times and more) manual updates (from project menu) BOINC receives succeeded reply.

S@H dev team, can you fix it please?

8) Questions and Answers : Windows : No schedulers or no work (Message 34173)
Posted 3615 days ago by Profile Nikolay A. Saharov
You can also download BOINC CC 4.09 from CPDN project site: http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/download.php or from LHC project site: http://lhcathome.cern.ch/download.php.

All these BOINC CC versions are equal each others.

9) Questions and Answers : Windows : Someone had tried the 4.09 ? (Message 27637)
Posted 3636 days ago by Profile Nikolay A. Saharov
When I installed 4.09, after that SAH finished current WU and began upload it but had errors and WU still here.

When I reinstalled BOINC 4.07 it uploaded this WU successfully.

So I dont know, is there problem with 4.09 or not?

I have a slow dialup Inet conn.
WinXP SP1, P4 2.6 GHz 512 Mb RAM

10) Questions and Answers : Windows : No schedulers responded (Message 27626)
Posted 3636 days ago by Profile Nikolay A. Saharov
Another addition information about the problem posted above.

When I do fresh BOINC install into new folder and then I attach only SAH project, BOINC CC connects with SAH scheduler successfully and gets new WUs for crunching.

When I detach all other projects (CPDN, P@H, LHC), BOINC also connects successfully with SAH scheduler.

But with all these projects BOINC has "No schedulers responded" message from SAH project server.

I think this happens because BOINC cant wait reply from SAH server because of small timeout.

Ping to SAH scheduler returns greater then 1200 msec. I have a slow dialup conn.

BOINC dev team, can you increase timeout period for replies from project scheduler servers in the next versions of BOINC Core Client?

Thanks for all possible help and sorry for my terrible english.

I have a big problem. Every time when BOINC connects to project it has this message:

--- - 2004-09-16 19:41:48 - Insufficient work; requesting more

SETI@home - 2004-09-16 19:41:56 - Deferring communication with project for 18 minutes and 3 seconds

But when I disconnected from all projects except S@H then BOINC received a successfull reply from S@H server.

Server scheduler's status is Running.

I have BOINC CC 4.07
Projects: SAH 4.03, CPDN, LHC and PAH.

Yes, I know about this.

My question was when I update i.e. BOINC Beta Test CC downloads separate preferences for home:
--- - 2004-06-23 20:58:29 - General prefs: using separate prefs for home

But when I update S@H after that CC downloads default general prefs:
--- - 2004-06-23 21:00:17 - General prefs: using your defaults

Ummmm. It seems, I have understood, that happened. When project sheduler is unavailable CC uses default prefs. SAH was unavailable, and now P@H is unavailable, and this happened again for Predictor project.

What do you think?
