Thanks everyone for your help.

It looks like perryjay probably has the answer. I'm not really technical enough these days to mess with the setup/applications, and don't have the time to get into these things at the moment, as Real World issues are getting in the way, so reboot occasionally sounds like a workaround I can live with for a while.

I have looked through the forum, and can't find an explanation for this message - maybe I looked in the wrong place. If so, please point me to the answers.

I have been getting this message more frequently lately. As far as I know I have not changed anything since things were running smoothly. Everything else I run seems OK.

Example cases:
Task 1680837159
Task 1680826663
Task 1680826585
Task 1659527842
Task 1659527838

Any suggestions - or do I just take the hit and waste compute time on dud units?

These units seem to run on & on - long after the time to complete counter hits zero

Thanks Perryjay - that seems to have worked. The WUs became tagged as "Compute Error" and then a while later they went away.

Normal service has now been resumed - aside from a big dent in my performance chart . . .

I have two WU under Enhanced 6.03 which have been running for over 150 hours and are still 0% completed, with no estimated time to complete.

Anyone got any ideas what's going on?

I couldn'rt resist joining in this one - Congratulations and may you be together as long & be as happy as we have been these 30+ years.

Music - If you want to make an entrance how about the opening music to 2001 played on a church organ, with the base turned up and the Vox Dei board linked in! Start low in pitch & volume, and build as far as you think people will stand. I heard it done once in a cathedral (not our wedding actually) - it's UNBELIEVABLE!

Interactive Street Cameras have been tested in Great Britain, to not only watch what people are doing, but to tell them off too! These are to be rolled out across the country, "in order to make our Town Centres safer and cleaner"

Check it out here

Hi Nobody - great Picture!

Now just imagine - on the pad, fuming gently and ready to lift off - A Saturn 5, painted all black, with golden letters down the side . . . .

"John Player Special"

Think they could have funded a Moon Colony that way?

Wheat or corn turned into bread

Very good Chris S - The answer I have is Bread, but Wheat fits just as well.

These are all Victorian Children's Riddles I have picked up from very old comics over the years - I am always on the look-out for 'new ones'!

Anyone else got any good riddles?

Best Wishes to Everyone for a Happy & Prosperous New Year.

Coal

Well Done Dark Angel !!

I only have one more - try this one:

I am the golden Prince. Cut down in my prime by the blades of friends,
beaten and crushed, I rise again, transformed by fire to sit dressed in
gold on a throne of white.

Who am I?

Clouds

That was close John, but Beethoven got the answer exactly right.

How about this one?

I used to live above the ground
Midst Sun and Wind and Rain
But no-one came to talk to me
For comfort in my Pain
So then I lay beneath the ground
In darkness was my rest
Till crushed beneath an Iron Hand
I from the Earth was wrest
But not for long was daylight mine
In fire I met my Doom
To keep the wheels in Motion
And Light up every Room.

But who am I?

How about this one . . .

Insubstantial as air, Substantial as stone,
I ride on the wind bearing Life and Death in my wings.
Ever changing, I remain always the same.
What am I?

seeds

Sorry Captain - close but not the answer this time. Seeds don't fit the first line well - or the last . . .
