Hello all.

I have a new rig and it has a Radeon card and was wondering how to get it to work, I am running the lunatic's app and when I did get units for the card they got compute errors as soon as they started so I switched the gpu app off, if anyone with experience in gpu on Radeon could take a look at the host below and offer some advice it would be greatly appreciated, never had this problem on my Nvidia laptop :(

CPU @ 67C GPU's @ 68-70C going to change out the TX750 Corsair PSU For a Cooler Master Silent ProM later on tonight and fit a H60 Corsair water cooler to the PSU, bummed that I couldn't get another Antec Kuhler620, put one in my older machine and got a temp drop of 20C and so quiet too! going to add a couple of 120mm fans to the case to improve airflow too and see what happens :)

Strange as it is the one comp that I have with a singe 560Ti is running fine with the once in a blue moon ivalid result or error yet my other rig with the 2 vanilla 560's seems to be pumping out 20 to 25 invalid results a month or less depending on how long they stay on the server and all of the cards are running at out of the box speeds, still trying to figure out where the problem is!

Hello Fred.

About 2 months ago I had a situation where the machine would freeze up all the time when running seti but I tracked that down to a faulty stick of ram, since then its been chugging away nicely, as I work away for two weeks at a time it's only when I get home and check my rigs and blow out the dust bunnies ect that I have a chance to address any issues, I may just upgrade the PSU and see if that fixes the problem and put the Corsair in my other rig that has the single GTX560Ti that has only shown 1 error so far, cheers :)

Thanks for that Joe, I will endeavor to get to the root of the problem, after the last post a few more popped up it seems this computer has a ghost in the machine that must find a new home!

Gpu's are stock speed so I will have to look beyond.

Hi Rob.

If that's the case how is it that two other people can crunch the same unit and get a valid result? also I have only 10 error results 3 of them are a -12 error what ever that is and a few are time out errors where the server has sent work to me 20 seconds before their deadline I am more concerned about the invalids as I have 22 of them on one machine and I don't usually see that :)

Hi all.

Can someone tell me what the main cause of invalid tasks is ? I am wondering if it is a GPU heat issue and if that heat issue is being caused by a slightly undersized PSU, any ideas?

Running 2 vanilla GT560 cuda cards PSU is a Corsair TX750 link below to invalids

both cards are running around 68C

Hi Mark.

You may want to take another look at your setup as currently there is no GPU indicated on the details page of your machine!

Well after a fair period of no uploads or downloads it seems that the system has settled and all the gripes can be forgotten until the next time, no expectations no regrets lets all do it for the one in a bazillion chance to say we have proven that there is life out there beyond our little blue planet.

Keep on crunching and greetings to all on our little planet called Earth.

Hi Mark.

I had the same problem with my rig a month back, after 4 or 5 weeks the brand new machine would lock up and at that point I was only running 1 fermi app per 560 card, ran memtest and it showed nothing, grabbed the DDR3 out of my Daughters machine and all works fine, had a faulty stick of Kingston ram, local store replaced it no problem but I got 2x2 gig kits of GEIL DDR3 anyway and has been fine for over 6 weeks now, may be worth a look.

Thanks Claggy, I will hunt down a older 26x.xx driver, any suggestions on one that would be the best for my vanilla 560's?
