That has changed. Yes I had lost more than a thousand dollars on ebay over the years, but Ebay has been changing sellers policies in recent years. This is an effort to reduce their own losses.
To keep buyers happy, Ebay now insures all transactions. The square trade program. If the buyer is not happy he/she can open a claim. Ebay will put pressure on the seller to settle the claim. If the parties don't settle then ebay will. And the buyer always wins. Any pay out that Ebay makes will be charged to the seller's account. If you are new seller they will not have released the payment to you until after a chance of a claim has passed, typically 14 days. If there is no claim, then they release the money to the seller. If there is a claim, then keep what it cost them to settle. They have also put caps on how much you can sell. If your trusted, the number can be large. If you have several complaints, the number will be low.
As a seller you cannot leave negative feedback against a buyer. But the buyer can against the seller. The system now favors buyers big time.

Just in case people forgot:

Fireman or stoker is the job title for someone whose job is to tend the fire for the running of a steam engine.

On steam locomotives the term fireman is usually used, while on steamships and stationary steam engines, the term is usually stoker. Much of the job is hard physical labor, such as shoveling fuel, typically coal, into the engine's firebox.

And did you know?

The Royal Canadian Navy still has steam powered ships.

Good guesses gents but all wrong :-)

Anyone know how often I should be offering clues?

Once a day is common to keep it moving. But don't give away too much at once.

A spotting scope?

How do you interpret this:

"A woman without her man is nothing."

Most Me read it: "A woman, without her man, is nothing."

Most Women see: "A woman: without her, man is nothing."
