No new tasks since yesterday. I installed the "seti_enhanced-i386-v8-xeon-nographics" - see above in this thread. I'm running on XServes so that seems to be right version here. After running the installer to set ownership and filerights correctly then like magic the servers started to respond again. However, this seems to be the wrong method of fixing whatever problem we currently experience. If nothing has changed on the clients and suddenly the servers starts to responds erratic or stop responding at all then the servers are to be looked at. I fully understand that 'fixing' may take sometime du to the DIYness of SETI. I afraid that most users simply wait for the problem to be fixed at the serverside, we'll simply see less compuation for awhile. /Per
