Now, that's place where we should link all people asking if SETI staff is doing something else besides eating pizzas.

SETI 25%
LHC 25%
CPDN 25%
Pirates 25%

No problems with switching beetween projects. Credits for CPDN and LHC are flowing. Didn't get credits from SETI for last week, but it seems to be a validator problem. No work (and no creds) from Pirates.
PC is Intel Celeron 2.4 running WinXP Pro SP1. LAN connected to linux based router with asdl modem. Crunching 60% of time (or so the stats say)

I think that 3 projects (as Pirates is out of work most of the time it seems) is enough for this machine because od deadlines. With the former LHC limit of 48 hours I was unable to do all work within the time limit. Estimated time for CPDN is about six months.

This can happen after reinstalling BOINC.
If you suspect these are reffering to the same computer, you can 'merge' them into one machine.

At http://boinc.berkeley.edu/credit.php there's a listing of c function that calculates recent credit. If you're familiar with c enough to understand it (I am not), you may find an answer to your question.

Siran isn't a Polish Earthly human name ;-)
BTW: A friend of mine thought, she had a really uniqe nickname. She was very upset when I showed her 1000+ google results.

30) Message boards : Cafe SETI : Validator broken again/still? (Message 29287)
Posted 23 Sep 2004 by Profile Mchl
Post:
There may be something more to it, than just validator problems. My 'Message board posts' figure is not updating as well. Does it count only 'Questions and Answers' posts, or takes 'Message Boards' into account as well? For me it looks like if it was the first option.

-EDIT-
News from the team:
Both the transitioner and the validator have fallen behind. We are determining whether this situation is because of a software or hardware bottleneck. In the meantime we need to allow these programs to catch up so the scheduler is off over night. We are in the process of obtaining faster hardware for DB server.

Can anybody tell me what's transitioner's role?

I didn't receive any credits for several days now, though reported five or six units. Status page says validator is running, so maybe we just have to wait for another host to complete 'our' units.
I miss 'pending credit' and 'results' pages. They work at CPDN and LHC and are really useful.

Well...Somehow I managed to change color scheme to tahiti Sunset, and it looks more or less like Classic scheme (red, purple, blue).
All I had to do was, to click on 'Update (Retry Now)' from Seti@Home Context Menu on Projects Tab.
35) Questions and Answers : Preferences : What are the Color preferences settings ? (Message 18831)

Tahiti Sunset looks very much alike to S@H Classic color scheme.
