Most of my work units take ~8 hours to process, but I've noticed, several times now, work units that finished in 4 minutes. Has anyone else seen this? Is this a problem with BOINC, or is there some other reason for the short processing time?

It'll be what we call a "noisy unit", where there are so many spikes, pulses and gaussians in the first minute(s) of crunching that BOINC will quit this unit and send it back to Berkeley with a -9 warning. The devs will then have to look into this unit to see if it's just a corrupt one, or something else.

You will still claim credit for it.
