What are the advantages of running Lunatics 8.20 v 8.22 on GTX1070 under Windoze or is this a AMD app? It's been a long time since I manually updated something on this scale, so if it's a Windoze app all suggestions will be greatly appreciated (where to get the .exe and how to apply). I have both the aimerge.cmd and aimergeg.cmd, don't know which one to use. I don't buy computers, I build them!! |

8.22 was meant for lower GPU models and previous generation of GPUs (Maxwell) The 8.20 actually runs slightly faster on the higher end Pascal cards. I fooled the server into thinking I was running 8.22 but was actually using 8.20 Z |

8.22 has a few changes for Nvidia cards only. And yes, it is sligthly slower on high end GPU`s. With each crime and every kindness we birth our future. |

IIRC, the 'slowness' was a slight de-tuning of the default optimisation, so that it would run more smoothly in stock mode without manual intervention. The tuning capabilities are still there for enthusiasts to use, but at your own risk. |
