I don't celebrate Xmas myself, but I do enjoy the holiday decorations that people put on their homes. I thought it would be nice to see what's going on in YOUR neighborhood. If you have decorated or if your neighbors have decorated, please post a photo of the decorations. Of course, the best photos are going to be taken after it starts to get dark outside.

Please do not post photos that you've found on the Internet. If you want to share online photos that don't belong to you, feel free to post the online location of the image using the URL or IMG tags. And please don't do this too often.

Also, please resize the photo if it's terribly large. Rule of thumb: 10" x 8" at 72 dpi. That would be 720px by 576px (72 dpi). Don't know how to resize your photo? Learn!! ;-)

Here's one from the house across the street from me.

That's a great idea, Suzie. I hope some people post some pictures!

We rarely put up a tree, but this year Eric's parents are visiting us for the holidays so I caved.

If you cannot see this photo, it probably means you do not have a google account. I don't know how to modify the picture so that everyone can see it, but if somebody else can tweak it for me, I'd be very grateful.

Anyway... taa-daa!!! Our tree!

Thank you. They were a gift from one of Eric's cousins. Everybody in the family has a set and we always talk about how Jimmy's icicles pull our trees together.

I have a tree, but at 1.5 feet tall it's expensive to run currently, Grace would knock it over too, one day I'll get an artificial 7 footer with multicolor led lights.

I hung some lights in my kitchen, but I didn't put any on the tree. I find it difficult to enjoy ornaments on trees with lights.

I inherited enough gold reflective ornaments for a tree, until I get a tree and get rid of the aquarium, if I can get rid of it, the ornaments and tinsel will stay boxed.

I need to do more glass cleaning in and outside of it, maybe before xmas I can or maybe not, best laid plans and all, Merry Xmas.

When I do get a tree it might be a tree that only needs ornaments, easy to setup and is really just tinsel and only needs a 10.5w led daylight lamp pointed at the tree which has a 4 color wheel in front of the lamp.

Later.

As some may remember, last year I decorated my boat in a "somewhat effusive manner". This year's decorations have started:

For those of you who can't see Angela's tree, I've copied it to my secret photo place. (I hope you don't mind, Ang.) It's a very nice tree. I, too, like the icicles.

Here are my holiday decorations! The snowflakes change colors.

Here's the story. I don't celebrate Christmas even though I'm a Christian. As many of you know, Christ was most likely not born in December. Also, almost all of the things done to celebrate Christmas come from the pagan celebration of Saturnalia. I'm hoping my sign will enlighten some Christians. It may or may not. This is one way to do so.

Oh, and I'm still expecting a couple more decorations. Should be here tomorrow, with luck.

That's very festive, Sue! I like the fact the lights are solar, too.

I like leds and solar, the park put some lights up, 1st time I've seen that here since 2004, I didn't live here before 2004.

I'll try and get a pic or two and bear the cold. Right now forget it, the sun is out, that's no fun.

That's my problem with taking pictures of holiday decorations, too. One has to go photographing after dark. Now, it's really not excessively cold here in central Texas, but it's cold enough right now to put a damper on evening photography. It will most likely warm up a bit before Xmas.
