I have a feeling that what I am confused about has to do with which OS and/or App someone was using. I thought I saw someone claiming 100-120 seconds per task. I am beginning to think this is under Linux and might be under the "special app" that has been talked about in another thread. I am getting about 6-7 minutes per task under two different brands of 1060's on two different versions of Windows. Comments? A proud member of the OFA (Old Farts Association). |

5 to 10 minutes sounds about right for 1060 running windows or linux with the SoG app 2mins would be linux plus special app Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

Tom, for a Windows PC your 1060's are doing near as well as mine are. ;-) Cheers. |

Tom, for a Windows PC your 1060's are doing near as well as mine are. ;-) Just replaced one 1060 with two 750TI's. If I am calculating right, they will come within 90% of a single 1060. (Where is the 1060 going?) Well, next week when the replacement MB and replacement 850 PSU come in, I will take a stab at a single E5-xxxxv1 cpu with two gtx 1060's. On a dual boot (Win7/Win10/WinServer2012/something) with a Light Unbuntu and the "special sauce" Seti version. In another thread they swear it will be "easy" which is why the dual boot. I'm not completely convinced :) Tom A proud member of the OFA (Old Farts Association). |
