hello to everyone,
thank you to all who have posted their love,
kind thought, and best wishes in this thread.
i have changed the title of this thread to:
congestive heart failure - signs - symptoms - treatments and disscussion.
I'm feeling better now.
my heart failure seems to have has stabilized now,
thanks to the care and treatment from the heart function clinic.
where I go to twice a week for follow up treatment,
after my one week of hospitalization.
learning to limit my fluid intake to one litre per day,
it sounds simple but it's not. my heart is not strong enought
to clear away the water build up from around my heart and lungs
so when that happens i get a drowning sensation
(Cant' breath) also raise the head of my bed appprox 30 centameters.
three glass of water per day, diet, medication, exersize, loose wieght
(102 KG to now down to 82 KG) disscussions with my cardiologist.
group talk thearapy with other sufering from congestive heart failure
congestive heart failure is not an imedeate death sentance.
i guess life is a death sentance.
I hope you are all well.
best wishes,
Byron.
PS
get a check up once a year,
if you fell sick, see a doctor immedeate ly.

Byron,
I knew they could help you. As said I had a similar problem almost 10 years ago. I was able to walk home from the hospital. That's all I could afford after the costs, but that a different issue.
Good to see you are doing better.

I'm very glad that you were able to fight back and take control of your health, Byron. Thank you very much for your long awaited health report and lessons learned.

Yes, life is a terminal disease (lol) but also a disease worth fighting for, as brillantly examplified by your own experience.

Please keep us posted about your continuing progresses and (no easy task either!) keep following doctors' orders =:)

I'd have been in sooner but my d got very stuck down while I was writing "immediately" and wouldn't stop for ages.

I know... The irony wasn't lost on me either... Completely undid the whole point I was making at the time.

When I saw it had a new name, it filled me up with hope so quickly that you were, Byron :) that I thought I'd pop in and tell you about it immediately although now it's taken more time than I'd envisaged, I probably should have just started with something like: I'm so happy to see your post! Which I am :) Very much so!

Restricting fluid intake is a toughie I know I'd really really struggle with doing - but to keep at bay that drowning feeling you were describing...? for that... yes - I would do it to get relief from that, most definitely. It can't be easy though, but it sounds like you've made so much really promising progress :) Well done!

last year while my brother was dying unknown to both of us,
i was suffering severe angina...
i had many more chances to change than my brother.

it takes a lot of will power. a commitment to yourself and your health.

As is regular and sufficient sleep time (as in "I shouldn'nt be on the internet at 0h45 am"). I realize that in the end, all the cheats and shortcuts I took to gain time aren't worth the healthier - and more productive, enjoyable - life I can get when I take the trouble to pay attention to sleep, diet, exercise (and to the politicians I vote for heh).
