Hello everyone,

Please take a look at our statistics:

Can anyone explain why they are getting low on Wednesdays and up on Thursdays?
We have about 80 computers running Seti, some of them are also running LHC@Home (Test4Theory).
We didn't set any schedule in BOINC. All of our computers are set to use 90 - 100 % of the CPU time constantly.

Best regards.

The drop on Wednesday's is due to the regular Tuesday server maintenance (short count) and the it picks back up the next.

Just standard behaviour. ;-)

Cheers.

It will be connected to the weekly maintenance shutdown on Tuesdays. The statistics are only made available for export once every 24 hours. The results for Tuesday - which you will see on Wednesday - will be depressed because the servers can't process new results during maintenance. The ones which don't make it will be processed on Wednesday, and visible on Thursday.

If you go to Boincstats - project seti - credit overview and look at the bottom chart you will see it is very similar, its the way that the stats are exported.

Another factor could be some computers running out of work during the outage and then resuming normal crunching after everything comes back online and work starts flowing again.
