hello everyone, i got myself a new 1060 and wanted to start crunching seti@home. now everything is fun and games as long as i use standard WUs (seti v8 8.00 cuda50). however, when i want to use the SoG ones SSE3_opencl_nv_sog_r3557 boinc event log says that my card doesnt support opencl. could anyone help me with that cause i assumed that the sog ones would be significantly faster than the standard ones and if i cant use them theres no real point in using my gpu for seti@home i guess. i already reinstalled and updated to latest NV drivers. thanks in advance |

Did you go to the Nvidea site for the driver? You should use theirs not Micorsoft drivers and you should choose to option of a clean install. |

And make sure you turn driver update off in MS - they have had a habit of dumping their driver over the top of the one you have just painstakingly installed :-( Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |
