Not sure where your from this side of the Equator, but let us know your preparations for the coming Winter..

Here in South Australia Autumn has not till been seen not as hot as Summer but still warmish, but will change during the
early hours of the 3rd of may due to a cold front/low pressure from the West and the next few days will be a lot cooler
(Though Average) for this time of year, with a bit of luck we will have our first rains since Oct/Sept last year cleaned
my gutters (for more leaves) tied the chickens down in case of severe winds.. :P~

No matter where you live in the Southern Hemisphere, let us know your version of events.. Would love to know the differences of
our day to day lives..

Stephen

I'm still waiting for our long overdue first frost for the year.

Cheers.

Still 2°-3°c above average up here for this time of the year, although at least the humidity has dropped off.

Looks like Winter has arrived down in the south East with a vengeance. Snow in the high country, gales & rain for Tassie with record rainfall & flooding in Hobart.
Temperatures here are meant to be dropping over the next few days by 3°c during the day and 5°c or more over night. About time.

Here it's currently a sunny 11C (feels like 2C out in that gale that's blowing outside) and that snow down south is heading in this direction (could be here tonight, otherwise tomorrow) so if these 3 rigs can't keep me warm tonight then I'll just have to pull the Borg out again.

Cheers.

Well there was no frost, sleet or snow here overnight (that could still change with the last 2 at anytime), but the mercury did get down to 3C (felt like -4C) and today that gale is still with us (30-35km/h w/ gusts up to 50-55km/h) with heavy overcast conditions.

The current temp here is 8C (feels like 0C) and our expected max is for 13C (though I have my doubts that we'll even get close to that), but I was quite warm overnight though I'm just catching up on 8 months worth of updates before I bring another heating unit online seeing as my rooms in the back of my shed will need it tonight. ;-)

Cheers.

It's actually cold here this morning. It got down to 21°c overnight, with some wind this morning making it very cold. And we're only expecting a maximum of 31°

We only got down to 3C (felt like 0C) here overnight with only a lite SW breeze (instead of a gale) and it's already a sunny 11C (feels like 9C) with the breeze just starting to pick up speed, but we are expecting a max of 17C along with a bit of wind today.

The extra heating unit did work well last night keeping these rooms in the back of my shed at 20C all night, meanwhile the ceiling fan downstairs has the lower part of my shed up to 22C already.

Stay warm & cheers.

Got down to 6.7c this morning and going for a maximum of 17c, pretty much for the next 2 weeks..
We normally get maximum between 11c and 15c during Winter and between 0c and 6 at night..

It got down to frosty 0C (felt like -2C) here early this morning, though we are going for a max of 18C, but some rain would go down well as we've only got a third so far of what we usually have by this time of the year.

Cheers.

How much rain have you had so far in 2018? My backyard gauge in this hemisphere is registering a little over 72 centimeters.

6.5C overnight here with a predicted 18C for today. Got my motorcycle back Saturday morning after 2 months in the workshop so naturally it was very cold and rained for the rest of the weekend. :-(
