Curious how the program handled showing 32 cores in your Ripper? Did it show them vertically or spread out horizontally?

Had to run it on this machine to see how it appears with other processors, its vertical cpu-0 to cpu-23 on the left, cache data then gpu data then cpu-24 to cpu-31 on the right.

Been a little bit busy these last couple of days. its funny where all the time goes when you take a couple of days off.

It looks like I am getting problems on this machine with AURA, I have found a couple of times a lighting file busying up the processor and slowing down WU processing. it will be removed in due course.

Hi Kevin,

I had Aura on my PC and got rid of it due to what I learned from Keith here. I would suggest uninstalling Aura, and from other stuff I've read on the Internet, any software from ASUS such as the software they have for getting system information like AISuite or whatever it's called.

After I uninstalled Aura I had to go into Task Scheduler and the Registry and weed out other entries for ASUS software.

I have been using ASUS motherboards since forever. I had quit using their software until Aura. ASUS makes excellent hardware, but when it comes to their software, they are poorly lacking.

Have a great day! :)

I must admit that I have also been using their hardware for a long time, motherboards, graphics cards and CD, DVD, BLU-RAY drives/burners.

Have not had much trouble with their software until just recently when I switched to motherboards with Aura, I usually only install the drivers rather than the complete software package but got a bit lazy this time.

This machine is going to be re-built when I am happy with the new one, when I do that I will probably do a new install of windows to get rid of all of the crap.

The interesting thing about SIV is the layout is not static. It depends on how much hardware it has to display and will reconfigure itself to show the information in the most logical way. Change the number of cores or gpus and it will reconfigure the program layout from what it was using before. You do have some control over the way the data is displayed in columns but you can't really change the overall look of the window.

Finally got my daily driver upgraded from FX to Ryzen+ Took longer than it should because I had a visitor. Pretty much running stock for now and will see if I can bump the memory up to 3466 like I did on the earlier FX to Ryzen+ conversion. Also took longer because it was my daily driver so a lot more software reconfiguring to get my needed programs running in the conversion from Windows7 to Linux.

So now only have the Windows 10 machine to worry about M$ pulling a middle of the night software update that hoses the machine for crunching, The only useful thing it does now is provide the BoincTasks platform.

So much info though, most of which is way above my head.

The temp info is useful, current, average and range, was relying on GPU-Z and that front bay for CPU.

Just been looking at the CPU temps and I am going to re-do the block its getting a bit warm.

Yes, that is why I called it a Swiss army knife application. Everything under the sun is exposed by the program if you learn how to dig into the menus. More than anyone will likely ever need in a day to day operation. Very handy to use for troubleshooting though.

No one told me that there was TWO layers of protective plastic on bottom of water block:-(

I was actually quite lucky, was cleaning the bottom of the block and spotted what looked like a dirty mark that would not wipe off, I could feel it with my finger but it did not move, I tried to scratch it off with my nail and the plastic ripped - I then removed it properly.

How i missed it first time around I do not know, I had had a good look at it I had even very carefully checked it in all directions with a straight edge.

The CPU is now running at 45 - 47 C instead of 59 - 63 C, coil temps have not dropped but fan speeds have, will have to tweek fan settings or try to up the CPU speed, its still running a bit slow.

Wow, I could see that anyone would have missed that because two layers is out of the norm. Glad to hear that the block is properly installed and the temps are showing that now.

Just had to re-adjust fans, loop temps started climbing.

Gave the memory a quick prod, 3.334 MHz, will see how it runs.

Just had a knock on the door, all my bits have arrived.

Memory has been happy overnight at slight overclock.
