I recently installed a Radeon RX 480 in a computer which already housed two NVIDIA GTX 970 GPUs. BOINC recognized the new GPU but won't send work for it. I get a log message; 3/5/2018 1:26:44 PM | SETI@home | Tasks for AMD/ATI GPU are available, but your preferences are set to not accept them. I don't know what they are talking about so, I can't find any preference saying I don't want work. Maybe, somebody knows what I can do about this situation. |

You need this in your cc_config.xml (create 1 with notepad if you don't have 1 already) in your BOINC data folder. <cc_config> <options> <use_all_gpus>1</use_all_gpus> </options> </cc_config>Cheers. |

And on your preferences page you need to allow to receive ATI work. (Use ATI GPU) https://setiathome.berkeley.edu/prefs.php?subset=project Not worry about the hosts who has NVidias and don't have ATI, they simply will not receive that kind of job if you check this option. BTW Nice fleet of GPU's you command. |

You need this in your cc_config.xml...No, he doesn't. Not to tell BOINC to use the totally different brand GPU as well. The use all GPUs switch is only used when you have two or more same brand GPUs that aren't recognized/ignored by config. A GPU that is being asked work for is already fully recognized and not ignored. |

Yes, I had that but I was still not getting ATI tasks. I never realized that there are SETI Preferences. When I checked these preferences I found you have to select which GPUs are enabled. Once I clicked the right box the ATI Gpu came alive. Thanks for your input. |

You provided the answer to my problem. You can't get to the SETI Project Preferences through the normal Preferences route, you have to go in using the URL you provided. Who knew! Thanks loads. |

You can get to the project preferences via your account: click on your name, top right corner, which takes you to https://setiathome.berkeley.edu/home.php. From there, click on the link for project preferences. |
