Yes it still works. Unfortunately, there are not very many APs anymore. This current run is a rare event. They found some old Arecibo tapes for use to crunch. Almost all future work units will be from Green Bank and that data currently is not being split for APs, so you could restrict your computer to APs but it probably won't get much work. |

But, I have another problem. I would like to switch to just Astropulse only. I used to do that on the SETI@home preferences web page and set AstroPulse v7: yes, SETI@home v8: no. I have done this today for all the different groups but I still get Seti@home work units. Does this setting still work? It's been broken since Dec 2016. What should happen, and used to happen, was if you have "If no work for selected applications is available, accept work from other applications?" set to Yes, then you will get MB work when there is no AP available if you had on APv7 selected in "Run only the selected applications". If "If no work for selected applications is available, accept work from other applications?" was set to No, then you would only get AP work, and no MB work. Since it became broken it is necessary to have "Run only the selected applications" both set to Yes, and "If no work for selected applications is available, accept work from other applications?" also set to yes. Having any of those set to no, for come strange reason, will generally result in no work of any type being sent. And even so, there are times when the Scheduler can need a bump (what i call the triple update) to continue getting any work. Grant Darwin NT |

If no work for selected applications is available, accept work from other applications? no But don't expect to get loaded up with AP's though. ;-) Cheers. |
