The estate inventory filed to Swedish tax authorities in 2013 confirmed that the couple lived comfortably, but hardly in opulence.
They had two cars — a 2008 Skoda and a 1993 Volvo 240.
Not only that.
He bought his clothes from second hand stores:)
He hardly gave any interviews but had always time to speak with his employees.

Before this thread grows into a RIP thread, perhaps it's time to look at Ingvar Kamprad as a Nazi recruiter during WWII:

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/history/world-war-two/8720214/IKEA-founder-was-Nazi-recruiter.html
That's been known for a long time here in Sweden, but it doesn't seem to have rubbed off on IKEA.
So no RIP for Ingvar Kamprad from me, rather good riddance old Nazi.

Perhaps this thread should belong in the Politics thread.
In Israel, the furniture giant Ikea has great success and now the company is investing in religious Jews. These are to be attracted to the department store with kosher food and a synagogue among the Billybok shelves, the Ingolf chairs and the Klippan sofas.

The giver of stress and many headaches has gone. Who now picks up the scepter to publish those vague instructions manuals.
