Some years ago I started to Lock my computer (Win 7) so that I could use my GPU for BOINC / Seti@Home. It worked then, but seems no longer to do so. I have a dump of my most recent startup to see if anyone can diagnose what's wrong. So, when I started BOINC up, I was logged in, but locking the computer doesn't result in any progress on the GPU tasks being advanced.

I am not an ATI person, but I think

1/12/2018 9:24:56 AM | | CAL: ATI GPU 0: ATI Radeon HD 4350/4550 (R710) (CAL version 1.4.1664, 512MB, 480MB available, 192 GFLOPS peak)

1/12/2018 9:24:56 AM | SETI@home | Application uses missing ATI GPU

Might be the problem, from what I remember your GPU might be too old and not support OpenCL..

Hopefully an ATI person will be along to help.

HD4350 support Opencl 1.0 and then can crunch WU , i'had to use it in the begining of 2016 with windows XP and Catalyst 11.11 , it takes about 9 hours to crunch one arecibo Wu ...

you have to use an older driver with it because newest one from AMD doesn't support it ..

try Catalyst 12.4 for Windows 7 .

Hi Kissagogo27,

When I followed your first link, it led to a discussion on drivers in XP. Fortunately, I'm on Win 7, so I didn't see a direct application of that.

When I followed your second link I was taken to a table where there was a lot of info, but no direct links. But I did a search on 8.961.0.0000 which seemed appropriate. That too me here:

http://www.amd-drivers.com/driver-8.961-120405a-137225C-ATI-with-id-9.html

but I'm concerned about it for several reasons. (1) "The unofficial Czech drivers site." (2) "Do you like me?" sex ad on the sidebar. (c) Some minor English errors, which itself raises red flags. (4) The page seems mostly devoted to gamer problems. (5) There are two links for downloading, with similar descriptions, one with 107 KB and the other with 105 KB.

Perhaps I'd be better off deferring that kind of computational effort until I replace my computer.

Again, thanks.

When going to the second link given above (the AMD cheat sheet), at the bottom are links directly to AMD's drivers. In 12.4's case that's at http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop/previous/detail?os=Windows%207%20-%2064&rev=12.4
