Look I don't care what peoples views is on religion, (I for one don't believe)
otherwise I would not be here crunching, and makes no sense people being here who do believe in a GOD and follow the bible
only to (how do I put it nicely) When you can't explain where we came from DON'T or try to use the excuse God made us in his image otherwise the universe would be teeming of life in his name..TRUTH! we came about via 6 or more massive changes on Earth ( only need to look it up ) We are apart of constant change and all life will change again and again.. Truth be told they found a black hole that existed before the big bang theory..We don't know to this day what's out there, we can predict or assume but a GOD? because we have no answers!!...I know this will not sit well but my belief is we are just evolving and has nothing to do with a GOD...
Reason why I posted this as my prior comment was blocked deemed obscene and never uttered a bad word Until i said the word "God"...
Sorry if I upset people

I think most of us here have decided to leave any discussion of God elsewhere. Occasionally an extremely dedicated believer will try to rattle the cage a bit but I feel it is best to try to ignore posts that are intended to bait the membership into heated debate.

I Do Know Atheists and Scientists are Playing GOD. Their Edicts, or COMMANDMENTs, brought about by Their Supposed Evolution, are Having NEGATIVE and POSITIVE EXPERIMENTAL Results.

Scientific Methods CREATE Multitudinous Life Changing DISASTERs Throughout dA World.

So Yeah, dA GOD of Atheism and Science I DO BELIEVE with All My Evolved Heart, Faith and Soul.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gravitational_constant

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hubble%27s_law

Except for also two different articles about the same subject, Bob, which at least makes me wondering a little.

Also a couple of other similar ones as well, but right now not in front of me.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_Bang

But except for that, could also link to the article for the Big Bang itself for even a bit more.

But also taking the time reading the hard stuff here as well, and still I am just sitting in a chair.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edict

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Autocracy

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hourglass

Here two articles for that of Political governance, and one which could symbolize time passing by, but next by means of a constant turnaround, and also in a repeated fashion.

Being able to make it circles from that of a square could be one thing, but next that an arrow is supposed to be only such a thing.

Should you still believe in Creation, or should you also be doing that for perhaps the opposite thing, namely destruction?

Mr. Blah-blah here (the long name at times), is making a point of giving a reference to a possible God by means of his presence,
by also making it an atheist, or maybe even agnostic twist on a couple of subjects.

Why not choose one thing for another here, and next be perhaps a believer of sorts, when you also should know that it could be about science?

Creation myth could perhaps we a way of dealing with the whole subject, because Creation could also be about Genesis as a subject, while for the opposite,
not a single word worth large caps for its letter, except for those bad or even dreadful things which also could be implied with the latter.

The Black Death is perhaps one example of such an event from recent history, but like also the Ice Ages, could be both recurring, and next also events which could be part of nature.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Death

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ice_age

Count from one to three, or even more, and next that the Big Bang became a one time event only for that of the Universe itself.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phenomenon

Here also a little more about a couple of things which sometimes could be making up life, but for that of science itself, should better be explained in a particular context for such a thing.

Well, let's face it. Each of us "out there" has a date that will be her/his last on this earth. In most cases, bu not all, our families, friends, or whoever, will see to it we're dressed up in our best "finery," whether it be a dress or a suit. I think we might all agree on ONE thing, maybe, I hope? It would be a shame to be all dressed up and have no place to go, huh?

As Stephen Hawking, who sadly died today, said on the existence of God. "Because there are laws such as gravity, the universe can and will create itself from nothing"

I cannot see any reason to contradict such a great man.

Hawking quote:)
“When people ask me if a god created the universe, I tell them that the question itself makes no sense. Time didn’t exist before the big bang, so there is no time for god to make the universe in. It’s like asking directions to the edge of the earth; The Earth is a sphere; it doesn’t have an edge; so looking for it is a futile exercise. We are each free to believe what we want, and it’s my view that the simplest explanation is; there is no god. No one created our universe, and no one directs our fate. This leads me to a profound realization; There is probably no heaven, and no afterlife either. We have this one life to appreciate the grand design of the universe, and for that I am extremely grateful.”

Hawking changed his mind:

The Mind of God is a 1992 non-fiction book by Paul Davies. Subtitled The Scientific Basis for a Rational World, it is a whirlwind tour and explanation of theories, both physical and metaphysical, regarding ultimate causes. Its title comes from a quotation from Stephen Hawking: "If we do discover a theory of everything...it would be the ultimate triumph of human reason—for then we would truly know the mind of God."

Hawking changed his mind...

Not sure which direction, but 26 years after this quote, he stated in an interview to a Spanish newspaper:

"In the past, before we understood science, it was logical to believe that God created the universe. But now science offers a more convincing explanation. What I meant to say when I said [at the end of A Brief History of Time] that we would know 'the mind of God' was that we would understand everything God would be able to understand if he happened to exist. But there is no God. I'm an atheist. Religion believes in miracles, but those are not compatible with science."

The religious views of scientists are often contentious because they will sometimes use the word "god" in an non-standard way. Einstein was notable for this as well, which has led to plenty of claims about his religiosity. Similar to Hawking he had to make a statement to counter them, which was part of the recently auctioned letter of his.

As with so much else, Carl Sagan summarized it perfectly:

"The idea that God is an oversized white male with a flowing beard who sits in the sky and tallies the fall of every sparrow is ludicrous. But if by God one means the set of physical laws that govern the universe, then clearly there is such a God. This God is emotionally unsatisfying... it does not make much sense to pray to the law of gravity. "
