Well, we're running out of _OUMUAMUA_ now, but look what just turned up in the splitter queue:

blc05_2bit_guppi_57977_49649_GJ144_0025

There's more of them there.

GJ144 is Epsilon Eridani

Please translate for those of us who don't understand the code.

My motto: Never do today what you can put off until tomorrow as it may not be required. This no longer applies in light of current events.

Please translate for those of us who don't understand the code.

The GJ144 part of the file in question, about to be split, is Epsilon Eridani.

Other designations: Ran, 18 Eridani, BD -09°697, GCTP 742.00, GJ 144, HD 22049, HIP 16537, HR 1084, LHS 1557, SAO 130564, WDS 03330-0928.

You don't need to understand any code, I don't. Google is your friend. :-)

Putting GJ 144 into google gives you clues about which star it is.

Another example from a file in the splitter queue:
blc05_2bit_guppi_57976_02753_HIP74178_0013

Putting HIP74178 into Google tells us after a bit of sorting out crap results, that doesn't have anything to do with astronomy:

I can attest to the OP that this works. I do it all the time to see where certain catalog numbers and groups correspond to.
