This is emerging as a recurring story: Parents have their kids taken away at the border, agree to voluntary deportation because they think that means they will be reunited, but instead end up on a plane home while their young child stays here.
Nice plan!

Yes, the crime of genocide.

Funny you should say that. I recently posted a link to the BBC highlighting several Federal Agents passing comments reminiscent of yesteryear.

It's no longer available "due to an internal server error" More than likely removed due to its Nazi undertones.

Was Trump correct in withdrawing from the U.N.'s Human Rights [sic] Council?
As U.S. Withdraws, Russia Seeks UN Human Rights Council Seat
https://themoscowtimes.com/news/us-withdraw-russia-seeks-human-rights-seat-61901

http://russiaun.ru/ru/news/humrig19062018
The UN Human Rights Council is the key international platform for cooperation in the field of the promotion and protection of human rights. The HRO operates on the basis of the principles of impartiality, objectivity, non-selectivity, constructive dialogue and cooperation. It is a UN body that, like the entire UN system, is called upon to serve all Member States, not just one country or group of countries. Unfortunately, our colleagues in Washington do not understand this or do not recognize it. Although the response of the international community to their ideas on the reform of the Council has clearly demonstrated their loneliness in this matter.

Apparently, the United States would like to turn the Council into an obedient tool to promote its interests and punish unwanted countries. Against this background, attempts by the US to blame the politicization of the work of the Council and the failure of its initiative by almost the whole world, including its traditional allies, seem cynical.

Now, let's return to what needs to be done to stop, as soon as possible, Trump in this separation of 30,000 children from their parents.
Just another example of why Trumps will probably win.
SO giving up on ANY attempt to have it stopped?

The next question I have is does the Trump administration have the ability to reunite all the families given the deliberate chaos they have created?

Ability = funds and grit
they have no funds, they have no grit

Trump should try out for the gymnastics team for the next Olympics, he's getting to be a real expert at back flipping.

No need for anyone to show a reaction, after all it is in Yankee Doodle Dandy land, Oh & before you spout your "normal" outburst at this post, that is past & as you have often threw at us that "Past is prologue" then Trump is only applying your mantra :-)

Real reason Rump suddenly stopped separating kids comes out. The kids get a green card once mommy or daddy are deported! Also they get free welfare until they turn 18! Rump backfires!

Wow, lots of volleys both ways in the last hour.

Just a fundamental point of logic for the discussion. Lots of back and forth about 'Constitution this' and 'Constitution that'........has anyone pondered, and I wonder if it will be brought up judicially,.........the Constitution of the United States was written by, intended to be the basis of laws for, and ratified by, Citizens of the United States.

Logic would seem to dictate rights recognized by that Constitution apply to Citizens of and Legal Residents of The United States.

Illegal Aliens do not fall under either category so exactly what basis is claimed to confer 'Constitutional Rights' on this class?

As if I'd be stupid enough to believe anything that comes out of The Daily Caller (even if you maybe).

"The Daily Caller is a conservative American news and opinion website based in Washington, D.C.", more far right twisted opinions and well known for it's Fake News, wake up Clyde, we wern't born yesterday.

The Constitution in places talks about citizens and in other places talks about persons. Rights of citizens apply to citizens, rights of persons apply to persons. This is Constitution 101, remedial class.

Well, considering a head of a public defenders office, an American citizen I believe, brought that point up in her statement which is mentioned a short time ago, it was that statement that led to Rule of Law & Constitution questions.

After all such a citizen in such a position of authority would know better about both than any Non-American, so maybe you should ask that question of her :-)

Clyde, https://www.news.com.au/world/north-america/shameless-myth-about-trumps-hated-policy-exposed/news-story/ec617c6cc480ce8774f797348018efbf, and a quote from it.

Denise Gilman, director of the Immigration Clinic at the University of Texas Law School, told NBC News it was “preposterous” to claim this was an Obama policy.

“There were occasionally instances where you would find a separated family — maybe like one every six months to a year — and that was usually because there had been some actual individualised concern that there was a trafficking situation or that the parent wasn’t actually the parent,” she said.

Families who had been separated “were usually reunited quite quickly once identified, even if that meant release of a parent from adult detention.”

In January 2017, Mr Trump signed an executive order undoing much of the Obama-era strategy, including the priority list for deportations.
The real truth can be inconvenient.

Here they are, taken in 2014 during a media tour of Obama-era detention facilities in Brownsville, Texas, and Nogales, Arizona. With separated childrens 'waiting areas'.

Those are pictures of unaccompanied immigrant kids.
Not kids separated from their parents.
