I am disappointed the President didn't hold Congress' feet to the fire and VETO the Omnibus, but I do understand the reasoning. After 8 years of Obamanation military castration the US is woefully short of where it needs to be for defense of the Nation. With the outright hostility towards the US from several nations and terrorist groups we would be hard pressed to intervene militarily when needed. I believe Obama thought that so weakening the military would discourage adventurism and 'nation building', and there is history to support that POV. But the weariness of Afghanistan, Iraq, Desert Storm and Viet Nam have dulled most Americans appetite for war in foreign places. I don't believe a strong Military is a bad thing absent this desire, but the last regime went too far. The accidents and readiness reports in the last few years demonstrates what happens when you 'let your gun rust'. The only way Trump could get enough Dims on board to pass the increase in Military spending was the increase in domestic slop trough handouts. It was a trade off and time had run out. I am proud of the fact that he rubbed the Dims noses in the fact they have walked away from an immigration deal twice and abandoned the DACA kids who's needs they have prostituted for power for over a year. Good job Chuck and Nancy. "Sour Grapes make a bitter Whine." <(0)> |

Please give us ignorant outsiders some clue who the several nations are. North Korea and Iran is two. Are they any more? Is that several? And terrorist groups in the US? They operate mostly in Middle East, Europe, northern Africa and muslim countries in Asia. |

Two constitutes 'several', plus Russia and China hold little good will towards the US. Two constitutes 'several', plus Russia and China hold little good will towards the US. Let me think. Russia has started a cyberwar against the US and Trump says "So what". Trump has started a trade war against China and Trump says "At last". Your link is accurate though. Almost. I remember the two terror attacks in Stockholm that took place only 5 min walking distance from my home. In the last attack five people were killed, not four as mentioned in the article, and 14 others were seriously injured. In the first attack no one died. Insha'Allah:) |

Trump has started a trade war against China ROFLMAO!! .........and now the Chinese want to 'talk' about ways to avoid a trade war........... Just like Kim Fat Boy now wants to talk about not getting nuked....... Military bullies and Economic bullies only respond to a bloody nose, and they are responding with pleas to talk about it........because they KNOW they are not dealing with the same sniveling coward they had carrying their water for the 8 previous years. And Surprise, Surprise, Putin is going to be next to feel the 'Wrath of Don'. WINNING! "Sour Grapes make a bitter Whine." <(0)> |
