Yeah, I AGREE with OVERTURNING ANYTHING OBLABBYs WORLD has INSTITUTED. ...

Really? In reality?

Is USA politics really so simplistic? One color is always 'good' whilst the 'other' color is always 'bad'?

Regardless of what their policies are and regardless of all consequences?...

Is this the start of a new North - South civil war? Or a continuation of the battle of old flags? Or the silly old game of going "tribal"?

Meanwhile, what of the consequence, for the USA, of the internet being turned into a kind of expensively restricted (CENSORED) cable TV?!

And only in Amerika?

I agree that solutions do not always exist in one ideology or another. Ideologies are traps that prevent people from seeing solutions. I prefer to look to history, both locally, and around the world for solutions based on previous success rates. I don't care where a solution comes from, as long as it has a history of working. I also agree that solutions that have been successful in one instance, may not be in a set of different circumstances.

I am extremely concerned about the loss of Net Neutrality. I don't see a single good thing about it. It is very clear to me that the current administration is letting everything be run by the major players, without the protections for the public. If this type of attitude has existed in the past, the tobacco companies would have kept selling to everyone until everyone had died of cancer. The gas companies would have kept selling leaded gas until all the drinking water was lead contaminated. The aerosol manufactures would have kept selling chlorofluorocarbons until we had no ozone left. We need protections from run away companies that will do anything for a buck regardless of the consequences.

Comcast and AT&T already Capitalize on the demise of Net Neutrality:

Comcast is giving its employees $1,000 bonuses because net neutrality is dead

Celebrating the death of consumer protections

Comcast today announced that it would be doling out $1,000 employee bonuses in response to the Federal Communications Commission’s repeal of net neutrality rules last week, as well as the Senate and House’s passing of Republicans’ tax reform bill poised to provide a substantial windfall to wealthy Americans and corporations...

... The news coincides with AT&T’s similar announcement today that it plans to give 200,000 employees $1,000 bonuses each in response to tax reform. AT&T did not mention the FCC or net neutrality, but as an ISP the company stands to benefit in ways similar to Comcast...

All in the land of the Amerikan 'free'?

And all in the two weeks before Christmas!...

Getting rid of net neutrality will cost the voters money. The idiocracy just is unwilling to see that and when they do then they may complain. As long as corporations are "people" and citizens united are the law of the land this is the way this country will roll.

Im wondering weather by now the Trump followers are still liking Trump .

I'll made America Great

Step 1 make as many enemy's as you can in the shortest possible time ....Good one mate
Step 2 screw the little guys and give big tax breaks to the rich and to cover what will happen well give people a bonus of $1000...love this guy
Step 3 repeal NET NEUTRALITY so we can take back the $1000 bonus by stealth by pushing the price up , over charging for speeds and blocking those that we do not favour......making Australia great oh that's right we already are Great with friends like Trump
Step 4 refer to no.3 .Other country's can't or won't follow suit and that will give them a advantage ......"Making America great I is" says Trump

Absolutely correct. But since Central Government Control of the Economy, which leads to Control of a Free People. Has resulted and will always result in some of the worse crimes against humanity...

Yes... That is the crux of the problem. Let's make sure the 'disease' is not replaced by a more evil 'cure'.

Edit: The America "K" people are just exposing what is the real foundation of their beliefs.

Getting rid of net neutrality will cost the voters money. The idiocracy just is unwilling to see that and when they do then they may complain. As long as corporations are "people" and citizens united are the law of the land this is the way this country will roll.

And here is just one real world live example of how the demise of Net Neutrality will cost money:

Totally shock claim: Comcast accused of gouging TV rivals

Wow, who'd have thought it?

US cable giant Comcast has been accused of strong-arming smaller carriers into paying too much for some of its TV channels...

... As a result, Wave said in its complaint to US regulator the FCC, it ended up paying too much for channels that, in many cases, its customers didn't even want...

... The complaint from Wave is similar to the case recently filed against AT&T in Houston, Texas. Like Comcast, AT&T was accused of using its control over the local sports broadcasts to unfairly price its competitors out of the market.

Merger-hungry AT&T sued for price gouging by Texas ISP

AT&T has been hit with a particularly badly-timed antitrust lawsuit accusing it of price gouging...

... The high price demand, En-Touch alleges, was a not-so-subtle effort by AT&T to stop its competitors from carrying local sports broadcasts, thus making those services far less attractive to customers in the Houston area...

... Normally a lawsuit over local sports broadcasts would not be considered particularly important news. In this case, however, it could further undermine AT&T's efforts to sell regulators on its plan to acquire Time Warner in a massive $85bn tie-up. Federal agencies have opposed the deal over concerns that, armed with Time Warner's huge catalogue of cable TV channels, AT&T could block its competitors out of the market by keeping those channels for itself or jacking up the prices...

All just a Trumped-up game?

Time for a new democracy??

All in your AmeriKa?

What the frak does ANY of that have to do with you disrespecting us like that? How would you feel if I started calling your country the United Queendom. You are, after all, ruled by the Queen and not a king. Or so it appears to me anyway.

Martin, I used to really enjoy reading your posts about computer tech and other related topics. I'm starting to think that I should just place you on my ignore list like I have done with so many others. Stop misspelling America and disrespecting us like that.
