The sage bushes my neighbor planted not too long ago. They're doing very well. They're xeriscape.
There was just a slight breeze which intereferred a wee bit with focus.
(Yes, I know my fat finger is in the third pic. I think that's a requirement now that I'm getting older.)

And this is Thelma and Louise (aka Weezie), just soakin' up some rays! :-)

A few from the last few still days of summer.

I deliberately focused on the trees not the balloon just to see what would happen:

I love to watch hot air balloons floating in the sky. There's something surreal about their slow movement, kind of like dirigibles, too.

The shelving here is 18"x48" in size. Grace is sleeping, She's a Big bad Putty Tat! Click on the pic for a BIGGER view.

She won't be laying on this for long as it's going to be used soon for storage only.

I have just returned from a trip "from coast to coast" of the USA.

All by train of course.

As I took over 2200 photos it has taken a while to look at them all. Here are a couple.

The wheat-fields of Illinois, taken from Amtrak 29 en route to Chicago

And crossing the Rockies taken from Amtrak 5 en route to San Francisco

I like that stormy sky over the wheat field. Did you run into any heavy rain?

What kind of camera/lens did you use for those spectacular shots?

I just got back from attending the inauguration of a new President of the university I graduated from in 1990.

Today's ceremony for the University of Louisville's new President:

Just got back from a local art festival called St. James Court Art Fair. It's held every year in the Old Louisville neighborhood:

Not that old, by UK standards, this art deco hotel was built in 1933 by the London Midland and Scottish Railway.
