And yet you posted on the forums, with an account with credit and RAC. Something you have to be logged in for. :-)

I get the same error. Yet, I can log in as well. Something is off. Happens when I try to communicate with the server manually by clicking update.

You do not log in to the forums (or the server) via BOINC Manager.
When you see the message that the password is incorrect in BOINC Manager, then this is the password that allows you to control BOINC Manager and it having contact between itself and the BOINC client. It's something completely different from forums log in.

When you see this message in BOINC Manager, first check that both the client (boinc.exe) and the manager (boincmgr.exe) are running. You can check that in Windows Task Manager.
If only BOINC Manager is running, exit it, wait 30 seconds, then restart it. That should also start the client.
If you here still have the message, exit BOINC completely and then navigate to your BOINC data directory (default in Windows at C:\Programdata\BOINC) and remove the gui_rpc_auth.cfg file. Then restart BOINC.
If that didn't fix it, add an inbound and outbound rule in Windows firewall for boincmgr.exe and boinc.exe, or if you use a different firewall in that. If necessary to give it a port number, use 31416.
