Hi all,
I have noticed that around 10% of my results are listed as "validation inconclusive". Can anyone explain why this is or why this is different to "validation pending"? The inclusive results usually resolve and I rarely have results that are classed as errors.

Thanks in advance for your advice.

"Validation Pending" is the first stage a returned task goes, it may only be there a feew seconds or many weeks or months....
When the validation of a work unit (the two copies of it having been completed and returned) there are three possible outcomes:
"Valid" - both sets of returned data agree
"Invalid" - the result returned is blatanly wrong
"Validation Inconclusive" - the two results are nearly the same so the data is passed on to a third person to run it and act as arbiter.
Some applications are believed to produce higher than normal "Inconclusives" on some systems, but behave quite acceptably on others.

A quick glance at your computer I see you are running both a GTX1080 and the processor internal Intel GPU. While it is possble to get both to work quite happily it is more common the running the Intel GPU in such cases will give you more trouble than it is worth due to issues wiht shared resources between the CPU and th Igpu - I would stop the Intel GPU getting work and see what happens. (There is an option on your "account" web page to turn data off for the Intel GPU)

I checked his system as well, and saw it's predominantly his wingperson who has the inconclusives and normally the errors from it. All the tasks I checked were done on Nvidia GPU.
