Squirrel caught shoplifting M&Ms from store in Disney World

A squirrel helps himself to a bag of candy in Disney World's Magic Kingdom, then scampers out the door with his loot.

'I clean bloody toilets and I clean them good': The great-grandma scrubbing outback dunnies to save lives.
When you hear the word "fundraising", you probably think of a cake stall, a sausage sizzle or maybe even a charity ball.
But 85-year old Pauline Hedges has a different plan: "I clean bloody toilets and I clean them good, too!"

Some 20 years ago, Mrs Hedges had the brainwave of securing a cleaning contract from the local shire for the Campaspe River rest stop, 20 kilometres down a lonely stretch of the Flinders Highway from her outback Queensland town of Pentland.
Since then, this income from toilet cleaning has funded vital emergency services in her area.
"The fire group wouldn't have the equipment we've got if we weren't cleaning the toilets," Mrs Hedges says.

Indonesian woman dies after being swallowed whole by a python
An Indonesian mother has died after being swallowed whole by a 23-foot-long python.

The woman, Wa Tiba, 54, went missing while tending to her vegetable garden near her village on Muna Island in Southeast Sulawesi province on Thursday, according to the village chief, Faris.

When her family went to look for her, they found only her belongings in the garden, including her sandals, a machete and a flashlight.

The village subsequently launched a search for her but were horrified to find the python with a severely bloated belly just 50 yards from the garden.

... “The snake’s belly was cut open and the body of the victim was found inside.”

Unbreakable smart lock devastated to discover screwdrivers exist
Tapplock: Once, twice, three times a screwup

It's never easy to crack into a market with an innovative new product but makers of the "world's first smart fingerprint padlock" have made one critical error: they forgot about the existence of screwdrivers.

... Aside from the nice-looking but shoddy aluminum alloy it is built out of – oh, and the lack of a decent physical step in the lock arm itself that all decent lock manufacturers add to prevent thieves from shimming it open – there is another pretty insane flaw in the lock: you can potentially unscrew the back off.

There are so many places on this pale blue dot that would so badly need it that specifically posting this here, Byron, is a profund, sobering statement.

Trackdown: Help find a 2018 Bentley Bentayga SUV

A $250,000 luxury car was stolen from a Dallas family as they slept and Dallas police are trying to locate the vehicle.

Vehicle thefts are up nearly 15 percent in Dallas, but one theft was very pricey. A 2018 Bentley Bentayga SUV was recently stolen from the driveway of a home in upscale Dallas neighborhood on June 13.

While almost 40 percent of vehicle thefts are due to people leaving their keys in the vehicle, that was not the case in the Bentley theft.

“These guys come with range extenders, relay boxes, possibly dummy keys and a few other things to like basically trick the vehicle to thinking the dummy key is the real key,” said Det. Rico Hill, Dallas Police Auto Theft.

The $24,000 rat.
Bank technicians in India smelt a rat when they were finally summoned to investigate why an automated teller machine in the country's north-east had not been working for almost a fortnight.
Inside the ATM they found close to $24,000 worth of shredded Indian rupee notes and one dead rodent that had somehow eluded the machine's security camera for its last meal.

go placidly amid the noise and the haste,
and remember what peace there may be in silence.
As far as possible without surrender
be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly;
and listen to others,
even to the dull and the ignorant,
they too have their story.
Avoid loud and aggressive persons,
they are vexations to the spirit.

If you compare yourself with others,
you may become vain or bitter;
for always
there will be greater and lesser persons
than yourself.
Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.
Keep interested in your own career,
however humble;
it is a real possession
in the changing fortunes of time.

Exercise caution in your business affairs,
for the world is full of trickery.
But let not this blind you to what virtue there is;
many persons strive for high ideals,
and everywhere life is full of heroism.
Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection.
Neither be cynical about love;
for in the face of all aridity
and disenchantment it is as perennial
as the grass.
Take kindly the counsel of the years,
gracefully surrendering the things of youth.

nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune.
But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings.
many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness
Beyond a wholesome discipline,
be gentle with yourself.
You are a child of the universe,
no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you,
no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

Therefore, be at peace with God,
whatever you conceive Him to be.
And whatever your labors and aspirations
in the noisy confusion of life,
keep peace in your soul.
With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams;
it is still a beautiful world
Be cheerful
Strive to be happy

Tolerance, friendship, Respect, Peace and Kindness to all

Be cheerful
Strive to be happy
thanks for reading this

friendly and respectful

Thank you for sharing the poem. It helped me to read it. I've had a mantra for a long time that I say in my head when I'm feeling anxious or upset about something - "Peace, tolerance, and acceptance".
