Looks like it's time to close the last thread. Just a few posts too big.
Here is the new home for interesting news that just does not deserve it's own thread.
As the name implies. If you think it's worth sharing but just don't know where it should go... Stick it here.
Shall as I add a rule, no Vic bashing. Oh and Vic try to keep your personal news on your own thread.

I would have thought it might be better as; "Vic if you post here, it can be bashed." or in other words "Vic if you don't want it bashed, keep it in your own thread."

86-year-old woman charged in bank robbery
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (WTXF) - Police say an 86-year-old woman has been charged in connection with a bank robbery in West Philadelphia.

Emily Coakley is charged with aggravated assault, robbery, VUFA, terroristic threats and related offenses, according to police. She was released on her own recognizance.

...Sources say the woman came to the bank on Monday to make a withdrawal. When she got home she thought the bank had shorted her $400. She returned to the bank Tuesday afternoon and demanded the rest of her money. Her family showed up while she was being held at the bank and tried to console her. Bank customers weren't so forgiving.

The Substitute Phone is designed to help smartphone addicts cope in their absence

Satisfy your cravings for swiping and scrolling
Schillinger designed five facsimile phones, made of black polyoxymethylene plastic with stone beads embedded in the surface, which allows a user to replicate familiar actions, such as scrolling, pinching, or swiping. The goal is that it could be used as a coping mechanism for someone trying to check their phone less.

Man Reportedly Attacks Mom With Skillet On Thanksgiving

A Missouri man was arrested after he allegedly struck his mother in the head with a skillet and beat her up in the midst of a Thanksgiving argument.

L.J.O., a 55-year-old from Kansas City, Missouri, denied attacking his mother or arguing with her before the holiday meal, reports WDAF.

When questioned, he initially told police that she had an accident but later changed his story and said he thought somebody assaulted her.

The mother said that a conversation between her and her son got heated as she sat down at the dinner table. At that point, he allegedly grabbed a 6-inch pan and smacked her in the back of the head with it, which sent her falling to the floor.

...(Mr.) O. was booked and charged with one count of assault causing serious physical injury and armed criminal action, reports KSHB. He is scheduled to appear in court for an initial arraignment on Dec. 14 and as of Nov. 27 was still in jail on a $250,000 bond.

If convicted of assault in the first degree, (Mr.) O. could face 10 to 30 years or even life in prison under Missouri's legal code, notes Criminal Defense Lawyer.

Harry is at the lower end of the Senior Royals pecking order, and will be lower next year after Williams 3rd child is born. Obviously it matters more to UK people than Americans, but it simply isn't worth a Bank Holiday. Next extra one will likely be when either the Queen dies, or Charlie boys coronation. Even then I expect the Queens will be declared a day of official mourning.

Coronations are like buses, none for many years then two come at once!

Ohh well no Bank Holiday no one really cares then do they :-) But wonder if Harry's Farther will be invited along to the wedding ;-)

Oh yes, the ice cube down the cleavage is quite an ice breaker literally.

Ooooh that was almost pun of the week :-)))

My dad did something similar to a ice cube. He worked as a electronics service tech. He got very tired of seeing a coworkers crack every time he bent over. So he took some circuit chiller and sprayed the guys crack down to a frosty -45°C in a very few seconds. Short story said. No more crack was seen again.
