When I post now (the last week) I end up with a blank screen.

Perhaps it is because SETI relies on third party css, js, html5 that updates beyond it's control?

There is a slow down on certain browsers.

(I see it on other web sites too.)

A University should not be held to the behest of 3rd party formats or scripts like bootstrap or google frameworks et al.

Is there any need for 3rd party javascript, recent convoluted html5 or css? I mean as long as it is visually readable and transmits dialog, meaning and intent.

I can't see any difference to the website today related to how it could have been 5 or so years ago.

Something has changed and I don't think it need have.

Now I have to log in via a different web browser to post rather than my favourite browser that i use for all my secure finacial transactions.. That should tell you something given this is just a forum..

I have tested the issue on various browsers and I can post using this browser but not my favourite.

Anyone know why?

I think it's Berkeley's js or html5?

Without telling which browser(s) you use there's not much anyone can do to test what you say you see.
In any way, a simple add-on/extension called NoScript will tell you that there are no scripts on these pages. No Javascript, no Google APIs, nothing.
The only thing used is bootstrap, which is a content management system using cascading style sheets (CSS). The version used here is very light, it merely tells the forums which fonts and colours to use, for pages, buttons and columns.

Mmm. OK.

So has bootstrap changed or the html code on these pages changed In the last few weeks?

Of course there is a possibility of code injection via my ISP (Virgin)??

NoScript hasn't changed for me, not has my favourite browser so they shouldn't be an issue.

I will do a recheck again using my favourite browser but this time switching off anything that gets in the way.

Thanks Ageless for responding.
