Don't know if this is the right section for this question but here goes.

I'm going back to Full ATX mobo and want to add 1 or 2 gpu's to my rig for boinc. I currently do projects for Seti,LHC,WCR,Einstein. I was wonder what gpu's would be good for those projects that don't break the bank. I currently have a 1070 since it's my gaming rig as well. I'm all for going used if there are good cards for good performance but I know the 10series is way more power efficient then any older gpu's.

Since you already have a 1070, then I would suggest sticking with the 1070 (it produces more than the 1060) since you already make that initial investment.

If this was a brand new build without an prior purchase, then I would suggest the 1060s.

I would rather not spend that much on a single GPU. I wouldn't be interested in SLI for gaming anyway. I could pick up 2 1060s 3gb for around the same price at a single 1070. Either way your making it sound like 10series is the way to go.
