My two are snoozing on the warm waterbed.
The sisters are over 16yo, and do a lot of that these days.

75th anniversary of Casablanca

My favorite all time film, yes even ahead of Starwars, Tank Girl, and Princess Bride.

Well I've seen 2 of those 4, especially the 1942 classic Casablanca starring Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman.

I don't think My dad saw this in 1942-1945, why?

He was in the US Army as a Medic, rank of Corporal immediately after Basic, He served in N.Africa, Sicily, Anzio, N.France, and Occupied Germany until Oct 1946.

He was recommended for 2 commendations for His paperwork on Allied and POW patients. And no I doubt He ever fired a shot once in the War, even though He did pose for a few pics wearing a sidearm, wartime censorship was in force, so He could not be seen as a Medic, even though the relatives knew what He was. He saved lives when He could, He's a hero.

I did saw the trilogy of Star Wars (Episode I to Episode VI) and then Episode VII. This last is a sort of reboot/remake of Episode IV. I did not like it so much because I expected something different. Then I saw Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Indiana Jones, Jaws, E.T. , Alien, Predator, Terminator, Robocop, MIB, Independence Day, The Day After Tomorrow, Jurassic Park, Ghostbuster, Rocky, Rambo, Cats & Dogs, King Kong (P.
Jackson), Godzilla (R. Emmerich), Pacific Rim, Transformers (only the first is fine!), Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, X-Files film (not good like the series).

You need to get out more. I have more movies than that on a single shelf.

Vic, Tank Girl is one of the all time cult classics. It right up there with Buckaroo Bonsai, Repo Man, Doc Savage, Howard the Duck, and The Rocky Horror Picture show.

I read all of the Doc Savage books, one of these days I'll have to get on either DVD or on Blu Ray and see it or Tank Girl.

Yeah, don't let the Bantha's bite.

Tauntaun

That Calvin and Hobbes cartoon definitely involved a Tauntaun.

But don't worry, it was just a wookie... er, uh... I mean a rookie mistake.

Well at least I don't have a Princess, or a Wookie around here.

Though a Princess could go kiss a Wookie.

Vic, I was just being playful and no offense was meant.

I'm sorry you are still feeling unwell and I wish you a speedy recovery.
