Well, I certainly had enough to work on today to keep my mind off of any cigs!
The new rig is pretty well settled.
Some additions and changes with fans for better cooling will be in order, but everything worked out quite nicely.
Very few snags getting it underway.

It blows my mind how much cigarettes cost. I had no idea it was that expensive. Is it just the last couple decades that prices have gone up so much due to tobacco taxes?
When I gave up in 2007 they were £5 now they are £11. Mainly budget tax increaeses.

Tax rises

I'm thinking a pack back in 1989 was $1.65. That was retail. But I had a friend that bought them at the Onondaga reservation for $10.00 dollars a carton. That was a lot of cash back then. I wonder what that would be in 2017 dollars now with inflation?

Knew someone would bring it up ... bought on the reservation they don't have state taxes on them, or at least didn't. Seems SCOTUS thinks state taxes trump treaties.

Now that you have had a couple days, I'll tell you how Mom quit smoking and that was the hard way. That is sitting in the waiting room with a sign "Cancer cures smoking" while getting radiation treatments.

At this point I think that I can say I was not physically addicted to cigs or the nicotine.
It was more habitual than anything else.
It just became 'usual' to have one at certain times.
So now, I just have to avoid or ignore those triggers and it is really not so hard.
Just have to turn my attention to something else for a bit, get past the trigger point, and then the urge passes.

Thanks Chris.
About 1988 The factory I worked at banned smoking in the building. We had a floor sweeper tha came around now and then. Guys and gals would just throw the butts in the aisle way. I cant remember how many times the trash compactor caught on fire.
So you had to smoke out side on break or lunch. And working on the line you did not leave for a smoke break when ever you got the urge.

This is true for many. Smoking is more of an oral fixation than anything.

I wish my father would have learned the same.
