My Windows PC just did an upgrade to Creators Edition whilst I was out.

Now all my GPU tasks in BOINC are showing "GPU missing, Ready to start".

I have downloaded and done a clean install of the latest Nvidia driver from the Nvidia web site, but GPU is still showing as missing.

Any ideas how to get SETI crunching again on my graphics card?

I think I have sorted it out now.

I did a second clean reinstall of the Nvidia driver which has fixed the missing GPU issue. Alas lots of GPU jobs got aborted automatically by BOINC/SETI in the process so I guess I will be on the bad books list and limited to one download for a day again.

How do others cope with the way Windows 10 automatically installs updates? I guess any PC reboot will stop GPU jobs until you log in again?

Set Win 10 to not allow driver updates. Yes, Win10 ignores the reboot without login setting if you are part of a domain. Kinda makes it mostly useless for the majority of people I assume. It doesn't work for me with my own home network.

Remove yourself from the Fast Track and you will only get the full/major updates. When you signed up for Fast Track you gave MS permission to download and reboot your computer.
NOW: What I have done is remove the Auto-restart of BOINC after a re-boot. That means no jobs are lost as I download the drivers before starting BOINC again. I know this looses a bit of crunching time but I think it is better than loosing all the WU's.
Just a note: Full version of Fall update will not be out until October.
