My PC goes to sleep when running SETI@home, even running at 100% CPU when not using the keyboard Windows still decides it is OK to go to sleep.

I was a bit surprised I would have assumed CPU busy would have stopped Winodws going to sleep. Ideally, I do not want to change Windows Power settings to never go to sleep. How can I keep SETI@home running if I step away for awhile?

Windows uses keyboard and mouse inputs as the triggers for "sleep", whereas most of us assume the triggers are CPU activity. The best solution is to turn "sleep" and other "power saving" modes off.

People running SETI@home usually set Windows Power Settings to sleep the monitor only, not the computer.

Process Lasso can keep PC awake while some process is running (in this case SETI@home applications)
