Of late, there have been repeated instances where notices marked as new appear in my BOINC Manager, notably the following from 8/3/17:
SETI@home: Mail problems and fire near SSL.
The UC Berkeley Space Science Laboratory Domain Name Services (DNS) server has been having problems for the past 24 hours, and a wildlands fire near the Space Sciences Lab has prevented SSL personnel from fixing the problem. . . .


Apparently this issue has been resolved some time ago. However, the notices are still appearing in all my hosts, including PCs and Android devices.

. . And mine, such notices seem to have a default life of about 1 month. Hopefully it will be gone soon.

I have seen it here at SETI Main and at the BOINC message boards on and off for quite a while.

It does not seem to be anything you can put on a schedule or tie to a particular topic - more or less random.
