Attempting to repair netbook from Windows 8.1 Safe boot mode I got such message: http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/KB173.aspx?DID=9834%7C%7C%7C&VID=1002%7C%7C%7C&CPU=AMD%20A4-1250%20APU%20with%20Radeon(TM)%20HD%20Graphics&OS=Windows8.1&OSBIT=64&OSLANG=en_US&utm_campaign=rserror&utm_medium=application&utm_source=driver-installer&utm_content=error173%7CIM_ERROR_NO_AMD_HW_FOUND/ Driver used: win8.1-64bit-radeon-software-crimson-relive-16.12.2-jan3.exe APU is A4-1250 Kabini, embedded GPU is Kalindi. Maybe I was wrong with driver choice? Or modern drivers can't detect hardware they designed for from safe mode??? Any suggestions how to deal with it cause booting normally results in screen going OFF after few seconds of logon screen appearing (it has nothing to do with logon per se, cause can happen just after logon or at logon screen if I delay to enter password) SETI apps news We're not gonna fight them. Thanks, Mike. It will be not easy task to find it on AMD web site these days when even driver needs internet connection for do its job. Good the keep downloadable pack at least. M$ already trashed VS2017 ISO distribution. Using DDU I was able to complete remove broken driver and boot in normal mode. Then downloaded Win8.1-64Bit-Radeon-Software-Crimson-ReLive-16.12.2-Jan3 was able to find GPU hardware... It's just amazing how quality degradation gone already in those big companies. It can't even detect own hardware w/o full OS support! But of course they now have completely perverted but brand new interface in installer... What a ...
