I understand I would have to edit my app_info.xml file.

I suspect the first thing I should do is "re-run" the installer to put the "stock cpu (with graphics)" in place. Then I should copy in my copy of the 8.08 exe and graphics exe into the seti directory.

And now try to locate all the "stock" seti cpu references and manually put in the replacement 8.08 executables.

Did I miss anything? Are there any other fiddly details I am going to want to check/take note of/change?
