Message 1884781 - Posted: 18 Aug 2017, 18:48:39 UTC - in response to Message 1884740.

All my bags are packed, I'm ready to go...

I only have a 200 mi drive for totality, I've heard I5 will be gridlocked, I"ll leave Sunday morning and hope I make it to Salem in time.

That sounds about as bad as My 100 mile drive to see My relatives in their "new" house in Pomona over the holidays, then 99.2 miles back to My house, ugh.

Family, yeah in November and maybe in December, otherwise I'm here.

The next totality in the US is April 8th 2024, though it will start in Mexico, then enter Texas, exit at Maine, then head for Canada.

But there are other chances.
You just need to stick around.

Looks like I'll have to hang around for that 2099 pass overhead.

I can probably accommodate you. Depends on how many kitties you bring along.

Either 24 or 45 is my best shot. 45 is the closer one.

Post 670. Really should go to sleep soon.

Not going to count on being able to catch the 2024.

Waiting for My pain pills to take effect, until then I'm sweating while doing almost nothing. I did get a little more vacuuming in, though I was sweating before that, it's My thyroid output, when that was at 90% I didn't sweat as much, now it's at 100%, and I feel like I'm melting like an ice cube.

Up at the crack of dawn, as usual, ugh. Getting stuff done quickly, so that I can relax for the day, since I might be called upon to help someone in need of a lift.

Oh and in far off Los Angeles County CA, today is Clear the shelters day, $20 for a pet.

Riverside County CA, not to be out done is saying $4.52 for a pet, 4 NBC, 52 Telemundo.
