Chicago gets 87%. I remember getting the partial in 1979 and I want totality this time. But the roads here are expected to be packed too. Amtrak offered a special train departing Chicago at 3:30 a.m. and arriving Carbondale in plenty of time for all the festivities. All the tickets sold in 21 hours. I should probably leave directly from the museum Sunday night, west on US 20 to Rockford and then south on I-39. The question is which way to go from Springfield. Post 654 and winning!
