GPUs gone missing

But for my machine VIPER home 17,021.54 15,427,541 7.6.33 GenuineIntel Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3930K CPU @ 3.20GHz [Family 6 Model 45 Stepping 7] (12 processors) --- Microsoft Windows 10 Enterprise x64 Edition, (10.00.14393.00) 21 Jun 2017, 12:36:00 UTC Both GPUs gone missing, the NVIDIA 780GTX. I tried to remove the drivers, show hidden hardware and remove the cards. Rebooted a few times. Tried card by card. The GPUs do work for a fact, because I get video on boot from both, its weird BOINC/nor windows will see them. I tried a clean install of Windows and same issue. Before I take my next steps and move them into a different system, is there anything else suggested? Could it be the PSU? Thank you ID: 1874268 ·

Further, unless you turn Windows "driver update" OFF for at least the display and graphics drivers you will have this problem again. If you did a clean install of Windows you have certainly not got the "right" drivers as Windows will install the M$ drivers which do not include the components required to do computation. Further, unless you turn Windows "driver update" OFF for at least the display and graphics drivers you will have this problem again. I always install the NVIDIA drivers from their website. The issue is that the GPU dont even show up in device manager as standard vga . ID: 1874292 ·

Several other things can, wrong driver, but you say you did a clean install from nVidia.... Windows doing one of it's automatic driver installs - I recently had that on this W7 PC which did no "damage" because I had all BOINC related processing suspended at the time. Doing a "service" installation of BOINC - this will result in a different set of "wrong" drivers being used, despite having installed the correct ones.
