California's fire season is starting early this year. Fire departments are warning it's going to be a bad one. The rain was great but all that green is starting to turn brown.

Wildfires (possibly caused by thunderstorms) are sweeping central Portugal :(
The Greek island of Lesbos also suffered some last week I think it was.

Has President Trump come up with an explanation for this phenomenon, given that he doesn't believe in global warming?

62 people have died in the forest fires in Portugal. SVT News reporter Ausi Petrelius is in Portugal, in the area where forest fires are raging as the worst.
"Around me, it's burning, now the flames are very close," she says.

CASTAIC, Calif. (KABC) --
Firefighters battled a brush fire that broke out in a remote area near Castaic Saturday afternoon, according to Los Angeles County fire officials.

The second-alarm wildfire was reported shortly before 2 p.m. near Templin Highway and the 5 Freeway, fire officials said. It started near the shoreline and then quickly spread to the Angeles National Forest.

The flames burned medium-to-light brush, with the acreage at 5 as of 3 p.m. The blaze spread to 1,000 acres and was 10 percent contained by the evening.

Residents of the Wrightwood area in San Bernardino County were ordered to evacuate Saturday afternoon after a fire broke out.

Evacuations were mandatory for those who lived on Pacific Crest Drive between Zermatt Drive and Lone Pine Canyon Road, according to Cindy Bachman, spokesperson for the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.

The evacuations were lifted around 5:30 p.m.

San Bernardino County fire officials reported the vegetation fire just after 12:15 p.m. at Pacific Crest and Zermatt drives.

Highway 2 at Wright Mountain Road was shut down as a result of the blaze and entry to the area was blocked, Bachman tweeted.

Earlier reports confirmed the fire was holding at 7 acres, but has since grown to 11 acres, according to the Angeles National Forest Twitter page.
