The washing is out on the line (probably nearly dry out in the wind now) and the brew is bubbling away so that gives me 30mins to cool down before LLB.

Cheers.

Well after a 4 hour excursion out to Inverell, it was very warm down there today, for scans and x-rays (while also checking out the new homebrew shop out there) I guess that I'll find out how much damage I did to myself in those falls I had 6 weeks ago on Monday.

But I'm going to have a good rum'n'lime now before having a very early night.

Cheers..

G'day everyone, from a cloudy day waiting for the rain in the highlands down under.

The Doc will have the results waiting for me when I see him on Monday, but I'll likely be told again to "keep it strapped, apply ice bags and stay off it for a while, you're not as young as you think you are anymore".

But I did enjoy a few beers at LLB and now a bite to eat will go down well. ;-)

[edit] BTW seeing as we're in for 3-5 days of rain and cool weather I grabbed enough supplies to last and another 15kgs of sugar for another wash.

Cheers.

G'morning everyone, from a very unpleasant looking P.O.E.T.S. Day in the highlands.

I'll be racing the wet stuff here this morning Grant.

Yesterday I found out that new Ryobi convertible line trimmers will still take 28yr old Ryobi attachments so with my edger attachment I did all my path edges (boy do they look sharp now) and I'm about to head back out there and do all my border edges before it starts raining, but I'll definitely need a beer or 4 by the time I'm finished.

Oh well, the sooner I start the sooner the beer at the end.

Cheers.

I have been working in my bar, to get it ready for new carpet Saturday morning.
As I was moving the old small refrigerator out, somehow the moonshine in it, made its way into my stomach.
I moved the old refrigerator out, and plugged it back in, so the quality beer it contained will remain cold.
After the new carpet is installed, I have a new small refrigerator to replace the 30 year old one.
I will have a fully refurbished man-cave complete with new carpet, refrigerator, Internet connected TV, stereo, Amazon Alexa, a huge python cage, a smaller snake cage, a complete bar, and pictures of naked women on the walls. I am going to be suffering with comfort......

G'day everyone, from another annoying damp day in the highlands.

Grant, instead of cluttering up that other thread, here's a link to the work pants that I get,
http://www.jbsweardirect.com.au/product_view.php?sn=dkqst0amrvnc7q4c4nc08924t1&cata=700&sub_cata=704&code=6lms,
and you find something similar over there (notice that the pic of the shorts clearly shows the phone pocket and strap setup).

Anyhow I'm off for Sunday LLB for a few before the V8's go for it.

Cheers.

I find that with the cargo shorts that you wear out the material where the cord goes fairly quickly and/or the elastic goes in them (meaning either shearers' or firefighters' straps are needed) and belts and their loops are multi-purpose after all. ;-)

BTW I go for Tradies/Work wear myself these days as for a few dollars more you get way more life/wear out of them than casual wear offers (otherwise why would see builders/labourers/workmen wear the stuff?).

I'm sure that you'll have work wear shops over there somewhere Grant, if they're made over here then someone must make something similar over there.

Cheers.

G'day everyone, from a cloudy, cool and windy day in the highlands down under.

I've been pretty busy here in the Wiggo man cave this week and even though it's Good Friday it isn't looking much better today as once I've finished in the brewroom scrubbing out a brew kit ready for reuse (I bottled beer yesterday) it's down stairs to fiddle with a PC that won't stay turned off before taking the top off the mower to see if the governor is clogged up with grass so I can mow again.

Anyhow, I better finish this coffee break and get back to it and I hope that everyone else is having a good time.

Cheers.
