Well after trying to have a quiet LLB today I've decided that after feeding Dog (about 90mins away) I'm going to pull the blinds and put my "Gone Fishing" sign out as there are far too many crazy sheila's about the village this weekend and 90% of them are wearing jeans'n'boots while another 8% are in denim shirts'n'boots and they're all as loud as banshees :-O

There'll be some tortured ear drums around tonight, but mine won't be counted amongst them. ;-)

Cheers..

Well done Wiggo. Everyone knows that boot scooting is a symptom of serious mental illness.

G'day everyone, on a slightly cooler overcast start in the highlands down under.

I wouldn't quite say that Monday, but there are certainly some issues involved. ;-)

Sorry Grant, but I spent a quiet weekend in the shed with a few friends listening to better music, drinking better beer, turning on the BBQ when required and not a crazy booted woman in sight.

Dog has also been having great fun here the last couple of days as she now has a couple of companions to run around the backyard with. I wasn't to sure how she'd handle a 4yr old child and a 2 month old pup, but it's been good watching them all having fun chasing each other around the yard (it's been many years since I've seen that much activity going on here).

Anyhow, I better find something to do for the next hour before LLB gets here.

Cheers.

G'day everyone, from another strange day in the highlands.

Well what a day it's been here this morning with people in and out of here for the last 4.5hrs, but now that it's over (for the moment at least) I'm going to quietly crack the beer fridge open and enjoy a few lagers.

Cheers.

G'morning everyone, from a much cooler start in the highlands down under.

Well we here Grant just have to get through tomorrow and we can return to temps in the mid to low 20's, hopefully there'll also be a little bit of moisture around as well (it's a dusty job mowing here ATM).

Cheers.

G'morning everyone, as thick fog banks roll through the highlands down under on P.O.E.T.S. Day.

This should be our last day of >30C temps (so I'm planning on doing absolutely nothing today as I) before 3 days of high 20's and then it's down to low 20's for a few days.

I'm sorry Gordon but beer with added foreign flavours have never gone down well with me, I'm of the opinion that those additives are added only to cover up a bad brew.

Anyhow, the beer fridge got fully restocked last night, after yesterday's celebrations had finished, and is ready for Weekend Beer O'clock now which will commence in a little under 3.5hrs so it's time for another coffee.

Cheers.

That's a fair point, Wiggo. I hadn't really thought of it that way.

Wiggo, you might be right, I have had some beers I have wondered about also.
My daughter said when she was in Germany the craze at the time was beer with ginger ale.
I don't think I would go that far. LOL

I like both but not together .

Tonight I am having Allagash, at 11% alcohol. It is an ale aged in oak barrels, and is quite good.
