I was poking around looking at individual results as reported on the Bonic/Seti website as shown when you click on "computers" for a project.

I have a GTX 750 Ti with 640 Cuda's running right now. In both the Lunatics SOG and the stock Seti SOG app reports it says "compute unit 5".

None of the hardware reported numbers that have something to due with gpu computation are that low (5). So it is either throttling something or it is reporting something else.

Crudely speaking "compute unit" is an indication of the granularity of the cores on a GPU. It is determined by the GPU hardware so there is nothing we can do about it.

I guess you could think of the compute units (aka SMs, SMXs, SMMs) as engines and the CUDA cores as the cylinders.
So a GTX 750 TI would have 5 engines with 128 cylinders. If that analogy makes sense?

In the past the number of CUDA cores per compute unit has varied from 128 or 192, but it seems for the past few generations they have been sticking with 128.

For comparison Radeon GPUs normally have 64 cores per compute unit.
