Hi, suddenly I have a number of tasks marked either "Not started by deadline - canceled" or "Timed out - no response" but looking at the task my computer returned the results well before the deadline, I'm assume Sent means when my computer sent the results. Not started by deadline - canceled Sent Deadline 6 Mar 2017, 7:17:43 UTC 28 Apr 2017, 6:12:38 UTC 6 Mar 2017, 7:17:43 UTC 28 Apr 2017, 6:12:38 UTC 6 Mar 2017, 7:17:43 UTC 28 Apr 2017, 6:12:38 UTC 6 Mar 2017, 2:37:21 UTC 28 Apr 2017, 9:06:58 UTC 5 Mar 2017, 23:28:40 UTC 28 Apr 2017, 8:45:31 UTC 5 Mar 2017, 23:28:40 UTC 28 Apr 2017, 8:05:52 UTC My computer is on 24/7 so scheduling should not be a problem, so will be surprised if sent equals when seti@home sent me the file to work on. Regards. |

Looking at your In Progress work, there are quite a few other WUs that were sent out in March and haven't yet been returned. They'll error out in the next few days as well. There are others from the beginning of this month that will error out over the next few weeks. Ghosts can be the result of making a mistake when editing configuration files. They can also result if you're having internet issues (or internet/networking issues with your computer) at the time you request work- you request work, the Scheduler allocates it to you, but for some reason your BOINC Manage doesn't receive the information about the allocated work and the downloads don't happen. You don't have the work, but the Server thinks you do. End result, Ghosts in the system. Grant Darwin NT |
